Luceco re-lights Bolton Arena Sports Village tennis halls

“This presented us with a great opportunity to both look for an energy-saving solution as well as an upgrade to the quality of the lighting,” said Bolton Arena operations manager Simon Sharrock.

Out went fluorescent lighting and in came Luceco’s dimmable Luxbay Ultra high level luminair, which is lensed to maximise installed spacing, has an aluminium housing, and a polycarbonate lens.

“The finished space has been transformed. It is now bright with a clean and airy feel, with the quality of light greatly improved, making it easy to see the tennis balls during matches,” said Sharrock.

“Crucially, remote control of five lighting settings, via a phone app, enables tailored control of light on each individual court,” added Luceco.

Omega LED supplies and NTES Contractors worked with Brent Samson of Lighting Design Services to specify Luxbay Ultra.

The installation is designed to meet Lawn Tennis Association lighting specifications.
