PI2MEQX2503 regenerates and equalises two data lanes and a single clock.
It “compensates for PCB, connector, cable and switching-related losses”, said the company, and “enables optimum electrical performance from a CSI2 source to a DSI sink”.
Active, it consumes 120mW, then it has 5 and 2mW operation modes, and a 200μW shut-down.
Receiver equalisation, output swing and pre-emphasis are programmable to compensate for channel loss.
Operation is over -40 to +85°C, and its X1QFN-24 (XEA24) package measures 2 x 4mm.
Applications are foreseen in laptops, tablets, mobile phones, IoT devices, commercial displays, augmented reality headsets, drones and robots.
