Focusing on NI’s software-defined systems in test, measurement and control, a stand-out this year will be a presentation from guest speaker Stuart Dawson, Chief Technology Officer at The University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC).
Dawson will discuss what he sees as “super-trends” around areas such as energy, Industry 4.0 and the electrification of transportation which are changing the world we live in.
With 25 years’ experience in the nuclear and aerospace sectors, he will discuss how AMRC enables manufacturers of any size to become faster, cheaper and greener through the introduction of advanced manufacturing techniques.
There will a range of speakers at the event. NI writes:
Members from the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre will be discussing the latest trends in Industry 4.0 and how companies across all industry areas can take advantage of these trends.
Averna will present an overview of the major technical issues currently facing connected-car developers including emerging technologies and regional standards, and will give examples on how to overcome these challenges.
Austin Consultants will also discuss their fascinating project that visualises the deep, infrasonic communications between elephants, allowing us to now understand how elephants communicate using an Infrasound Monitory System with LabVIEW NXG.
Also, several other NI customers and partners will take to the stage with their engineering innovations.
