Vicor designs and manufactures modular power components and packaging for computing, telecommunications and network infrastructure use, as well as industrial equipment and automation, vehicles, transportation and aerospace and defence electronics.

Arrow reported Q2 sales of $6.61bn in July 2020, a decrease of 10% compared with Q2 2019. The company says it is expanding engineering and design expertise to support customers during this Covid-19 pandemic. Chairman, president and CEO, Michael J Long, said that Asia has seen higher than expected sales and “a remarkable rebound in manufacturing activity due to earlier pandemic onset and recovery”.

“Arrow is harnessing data from billions of transactions with thousands of customers to sell and deliver the products and solutions that our customers want when they need them,” he continued.

The expansion of the agreement with Vicor aligns with that philosophy of delivering what customers require. “This agreement comes at a time when many of our customers are asking for smaller and more efficient solutions for their power-delivery networks that are changing to meet ever-increasing system power demands,” said David West, senior vice president of global marketing and engineering at Arrow.
