Advanced Energy shrinks footprint for 3000W configurable AC/DC power supply

Available from Cambridge-based Components Bureau, the Excelsys CoolX 3000 series by Advanced Energy is packaged in a small form factor (300 x 131 x 120mm), for a smaller footprint in harsh industrial and medical applications.

The intelligent, user-configurable modular power supply offers analogue and digital management. It is equipped with up to 24 isolated outputs, all of which are isolated to 1850Vac.

Input voltage range is 180Vac-264Vac (300Vac for 5s) while output voltage ranges from 1V- 696V. Ripple and noise is 1% of nominal levels. A potentiometer controls the voltage.

The power supply has PMBus digital communications for monitoring and control capability. There are also series and parallel outputs for higher voltage and currents.

The 3000 series offer up to 91% efficiency with variable fan speed control. There is also level 4 input surge protection with a MTBF of 150,000 hours. There is also an eight-way connector interface.

The operating temperature range is -25 to +60°C.

The power supply is supplied with a five-year warranty.
