Measuring 2 x 1.6 x 1.2mm (0806 or 2016), there are two types:
- DFE2MCPHR33MJLLQ
0.33μH ±20%, 0.018Ω
5.1A max (6.4A typ) at 40°C rise
6.9A max (8.1A typ) at 30% inductance change - DFE2MCPHR47MJLLQ
0.47μH±20%, 0.022Ω
4.4A max (5.5A typ) at 40°C rise
5.4A max (6.3A typ) at 30% inductance change
Temperature limits are -40 to +115°C ambient, not including self-heating, or up to +155°C with self-heating, and they can withstand 40V.
DFE2MCPH_JL inductors are “specifically designed for automotive powertrain and safety equipment,” according to the company. “Compared with existing the DFE2MCAH_J0 series, the 0.33µH part, for example achieves a reduction of 38% in dc resistance, along with a 31% increase in rated current for the same temperature rise. Rated current for a specified inductance drop is 64% higher.”
Use is foreseen in filtering and energy storage in power converters. With caveats, medical use is also expected in GHTF classes A, B and C.
Future plans include values from 0.1 to 4.7µH.
