They include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth personal area networking, Wirepas Mesh, cellular connectivity, as well as USB and a 10/100/1000 wired Ethernet.

Processing comes from an NXP i.MX6 Arm Cortex-A9 processor, with either single, dual or quad-cores, working with up to 2Gbyte of DDR3 memory.

“Our SolidSense N6 Edge Gateway represents a turn-key solution to IoT connectivity,” claimed SoliRun CEO Dr Atai Ziv.

U-blox contribution is on of its Nina stand-alone single-, dual- or multi-radio module.

SolidSense-Ublox-outdoors“We decided to work with u-blox because the Nina series of short-range radio modules meet the needs of our target market,” said Ziv. “The fact that they are provided pre-certified has enabled us to reduce our product development cycle.”

N6 Edge Gateway was announced at Embedded World.

Claimed to be ‘enterprise-grade’, it is intended to be and M2M gateway managing a local network of sensor and actuator IoT endpoints.

Fully enclosed and fan-less design, it comes in configurations suitable for indoor or outdoor installation.
