This range suits them suitable to factory or roadside equipment running from four-wire three-phase 480Vac (277Vac nominal), or running from single-phase 110 or 230Vac.
Called the VCB60 series, there are eight devices with regulated outputs ranging across 5Vdc to 54Vdc.
Over-voltage category III (OVC III) approval means that the units can be used in building wiring up-stream of wall sockets that require safety-approved products, and there is no need for additional filtering.
Series approvals include: EN55024, EN55035, EN61000-4 for EMC immunity; EN55032, EN55014, and EN61000-3 for EMC emissions; and IEC60950, IEC62368 and IEC60355 for safety.
Efficiency is 90% and cooling is by convection. Protections include: short-circuit, over-voltage and over-load.
“The devices require no forced air, ensuring silent operation which is a common requirement in noise-sensitive audio-video applications as well as an office or domestic settings,” according to the company. “The broad range of approvals ensures that the units can be safely used in a wide range of ITE, industrial and domestic applications while ensuring they meet noise requirements without external filtering.”
