These come in frame sizes from NEMA 23 to 34 and powers from 38 to 429W, and the motors are sealed to IP66K or IP67 which enables them to be washed down.
All feature an internal position encoder, and are programmable via ‘ClearView’ configuration software, which also has performance optimising auto-tuning.
“ClearPath-EC motors come standard with proprietary RAS motion smoothing, electronic inertia matching technology and tools to collect diagnostics and validate engineering designs,” according to the company.
With the fast control that EtherCAT allows, Teknic is advocating their use in CNC machines and other factory automation.
“Read position, velocity, and torque data while simultaneously synchronising hundreds of motors with better than 0.25ms accuracy,” it said. “For large-scale factory automation, customers can place motors up to 300ft [90m] apart without any loss in performance.”
