High-voltage resistors 100% screened for voltage coefficient

Stackpole is aiming at accurate high-voltage measurement with a family of resistors that are 100% tested for voltage-induced resistance variation.

Called ‘HVCR’, the family incudes resistors between 10 and 100MΩ, specified to have a voltage coefficient of resistance  better than -5ppm/V for the 1206 size and -2ppm/V for the 2512 size.

“Applications such as testing equipment, instrumentation, high voltage inverters, battery management and medical equipment require precision and stability to ensure accurate and safe operation,” according to the company.

Tolerance is 1% and the temperature coefficient is ±100ppm/°C (from 25 to 75°C).

Maximum ratings are 1.5kV and 300mW for HVCR1206 parts and 3kV 2W for HVCR2512 parts.

The power rating is specified at 70°C, above which they derate linearly to zero at 155°C. Pulse withstanding is 10x the nominal rated power.

The resistors are RoHS and REACH compliant, and halogen free.
