Called WE-EMIP EMI absorber sheet, is only 72μm thick and consists of a layer of aluminium, a magnetic absorber layer (100μ0 permeability at 1MHz) and a polymer carrier layer.
“It offers attenuation exceeding 40dB over a wide frequency range,” according to the company. Use it on “housing and openings between PCBs, on ICs, processors and controllers, on cables which need high flexibility and LCD/LED monitors”.
Both isolated and non-isolated versions are available – the non-isolated version allows the option of earthing.
Operation is over -25 to +105°C.
It comes in 105 x 74mm sheets, 297 x 210mm sheets or as a 15m x 50mm roll.
As well as EMC noise suppression, use is foreseen in magnetic decoupling, avoiding cavity resonances and protecting against electrostatic discharge.
