Called FTR-E1-HC, its coil only dissipates ~1.2W at rated voltage.
Dielectric strength is 5kVac (1 minute) between coil and contacts, and 2.5kVac between contacts.
“The FTR-E1-HC also features arc extinguishing technology which use a cleverly placed permanent magnet to extend the arc’s path within the same air-gap,” according to the company. “Non-polarised contacts enable switching between charging and discharging the load, making this relay suited for applications including electric vehicles, fast charging stations, photovoltaic power generation systems, hybrid construction machinery and battery systems.”
The 60A 400Vdc figures are at up to 60°C with resistive loads. It is also rated at 50A 450Vdc up to 85°C.
Minimum temperature is -40°C – although the data sheet mandates frost-free operation.
Operation is in 30ms and release in 10ms.
Electrical life is 500 operations – providing a varistor of 3x the operating voltage is connected across the coil – see the data sheet for caveats.
There are two coil options: 12V 120Ω and 24V 480Ω.
The plastic case complies with the 94V-0 flammability standard and measures 28.3 x 43.6 a 36.8mm tall. Terminals protrude below this into the PCB.
