SM91872AL is surface-mount and will fit into a 17.4 x 10.6 x 8.1 envelope – including its visible legs.
Inductance is 150 to 450µH (100kHz 100mV) across its -40 to +125°C operation range, and leakage inductance is 1µH max.
Both sides have a maximum resistance of 900mΩ.
For signals, insertion loss is a maximum of -0.25dB at 4MHz, when return loss is at minimum -16dB (100 Ω Zout).
It is a “single-channel reinforced isolation transformer, which is constructed with a automated over-molding process making it a high-quality solution for BMS signal applications in energy storage systems and electric vehicles,” claimed the company.
Its isolation barrier has a working voltage of 1kVdc, 4kVac hi-pot test (1mA 60s) and 8kV impulse rating (1.2/50µs). Reinforcement complies with IEC 60664-1 and IEC 62368-1.
Creepage is >10mm (pollution degree 2, material group CTI I) and clearance is also >10mm (over-voltage category II).
