Nexus signs Flexxon; adds flash storage for cybersecurity

Industrial NAND flash devices from Flexxon include solid stat drives (SSDs), cards, modules, standard form industrial removable memory devices and ICs for cybersecurity, industrial, medical and automotive applications are  now available in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland and Austria from Nexus Industrial Memory.

Nexus adds the non-removable devices for embedding as chips, modules, cards or SSDs to its portfolio of custom removable memory devices – which are inherently secure through their form factor, says the company. They are available with crypto-authentication technology and are ruggedised for use in harsh environments.

Flexxon’s products include industrial grade SATA II and III, PATA and PCIe NVMe SSDs, eMMC and SLC chips or ICs, disk on modules (DOMs, for example USB or SATA II), and standard form factor removable memory devices, such as USB, SD and micro-SD.

Michael Barrett, Nexus’ managing director, said: “We’re delighted with the appointment, as we’ve been aware of Flexxon’s high-quality products for several years and have long-recognised how well they would fit alongside ATEK’s Datakey products [the rugged, portable range, also available from Nexus].

Both manufacturers offer customisation services and the company’s sales engineers can work with customers and suppliers to develop custom electronic or mechanical features to embed and/or use removable memory.

Nexus specialises in memory-based products for applications which demand rugged memory with long-term availability. It is also the exclusive distributor of ATEK Access Technologies, LLC’s Datakey products in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Scandinavia.
