Mouser signs Morse Micro

Mouser has signed a global distribution agreement with Morse Micro, the Wi-Fi HaLow silicon specialist.

Through this agreement, Mouser is now stocking the company’s  Wi-Fi HaLow modules and development platforms.

Morse Micro claims to have the industry’s smallest, fastest and lowest power Wi-Fi HaLow SoCs and modules, providing 10x the range, 100x the coverage area and 1000x the volume of traditional Wi-Fi products.

Mouser signs Morse MicroDesigned specifically for the IoT, Wi-Fi HaLow operates in the sub-GHz frequency band, offering an optimal combination of extended range, power efficiency, long battery life, superior penetration of barriers, large network capacity, and advanced security.

Targeting commercial, residential, and industrial IoT markets, Morse Micro’s Wi-Fi HaLow solutions are suitable for access control, security cameras, industrial automation, and retail and mobile device applications.

Morse Micro products now available through Mouser include the MM6108-MF08651-US Wi-Fi HaLow module.

This Wi-fi HaLow module offers long-range, low-power consumption and superior RF performance and features Morse Micro’s MM6108 Wi-Fi HaLow SoC.

The MM6108-MF08651 module simplifies Wi-Fi HaLow implementations by using an integrated Power Amplifier (PA), low-noise amplifier (LNA) and a transmit-receive switch (T/R).

The module is FCC certified for operating on frequencies between 902 MHz and 928 MHz, achieving a maximum data rate of 32.5Mbps. The MM6108-MF08651 module is suitable for transitioning from previous RF technologies and supports the latest WPA3 security protocols for secure, long-range applications.

Morse Micro’s MM6108-EKH03 Wi-Fi HaLow development platform, also available from Mouser, supports a Linux SDK based on OpenWrt to provide connectivity through a range of applications and software.

The MM6108-EKH03 platform features Ethernet and USB ports to serve as a Wi-Fi HaLow to Ethernet or USB adapter. The built-in web-based configuration wizard helps with configuration and operation.

The Linux-based MM6108-EKH01 Wi-Fi HaLow development platform simplifies evaluation with a versatile set of interfaces, including USB-A for console access, Ethernet ports, and a Micro-HDMI port for display. It further offers expansion capabilities, allowing the addition of a camera module, which enhances its functionality.
