Rebeca Obregon becomes president of Farnell

Rebeca Obregon is to be the president of Farnell from the first of July.

Farnell is a subsidiary of Avnet.

“Since joining Avnet’s leadership team last year, Rebeca has shown her commitment to delivering results,” said Phil Gallagher, CEO, Avnet. “Farnell remains a critical part of Avnet’s proposition, and I’m confident that Rebeca is the right leader to steer the organisation through its next chapter.”


Obregon was previously an Avnet vice president covering supplier management and strategy, and mergers and acquisitions.


“I look forward to helping our teams at Farnell, Avnet and beyond support our customers at every stage of the product life cycle,” said Obregon.

She has over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Before joining Avnet last year, Obregon was a corporate vice president at Amkor Technology.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Arizona State University, and a masters electrical engineering from the US National Technological University.
