The executive director of R&D in Synopsys’ EDA group, Sashi Obilisetty, was presented with the Marie R. Pistilli Women in Engineering Achievement Award at this year’s DAC in San Francisco, California.

The award recognises individuals who have “significantly helped advance women in electronic design”.

She has also served as the Cloud Focus chair at DAC (2021-2023) and chair for the Women in EDA committee (2013-2014).

The Marie R. Pistilli worked with her husband Pasquale (Pat) to plan and organise events in the EDA industry, including the Design Automation Conference (DAC). She worked to advance women in the EDA field, introducing a women-specific workshop to the event.
