The 146 x 102mm QRB551 industrial-grade ‘3.5inch’ size motherboard has Qualcomm’s Robotics RB5 platform, with 5G connectivity, and is intended to implement appearance recognition, defect detection and human body posture recognition in factories, said DFI.
QRB5165 has Qualcomm’s ‘Hexagon Tensor Accelerator’ that can run at 15Top/s for AI and deep learning workloads at the edge. On top of this, it has a 2.84GHz 64bit Kryo 585 CPU and Adreno 650 GPU – the latter supporting Open GL ES and Open CL.
On board is 1Gbit Ethernet, CAN bus, M.2 E key 2230 and M.2 B key 3052/2242.
Dual displays can be supported, one though an HDMI connector and the other via a USB type C.
Operation is over 0 to 60°C, and it “supports CPU life cycle until 2029”, said DFI.
Founded in 1981, DFI makes industrial motherboards, single-board computers, industrial panel PC and displays. It joined the Qisda/BenQ Group in 2017, and acquired Aewin and Ace Pillar in 2019.
